FOOD DEPRESSION
A London research team established a diet consisting of processed and fatty foods, and the results were astounding. The more processed and fatty foods consumed, the higher the risk of getting depression. But there is a way to counter this. If you eat vegetables, fruits, and natural food, you will be less likely to get depression. If you eat processed food, you will have about a 58% higher chance of getting depression, but if you eat vegetables, or natural foods, you have a 26% lower chance of getting depressed. We do not know how these foods affect the body.
APPLE GETTING SUED BY NOKIA
On of the biggest phone makers in the world, Nokia is suing Apple for using their patented products. They say that Apple is trying to “get a free ride on the back of Nokia’s innovation. Apple broke 10 of Nokia’s patents including voice decoding, wireless data, security, and encryption. After this suing was announced, apples shares REALLY WENT DOWN. Nokia says it has an agreement with around 40 firms; the agreement being that those firms can use their technology. Most of those firms are mobile handset makers. Apple is not one of those firms. Nokia acted REALLY fast, because they spent about 40 billion Euros ($60,000,000,000) on researching and developing this technology. When the new iPhone technology came out, Nokia’s profit almost dropped by 25%, and Apple’s iPhone sales went up 7%.
VW TO BUY HALF OF PORSCHE
One of Europe’s biggest carmakers, Volkswagen, says they will buy 49.9% of Porsche by 2010. If you thought it would be a cheap deal, think again. That 49.9% cost around 6 billion dollars, or 3.9 billion Euros. Back in August, VW and Porsche had little mumbles about merging together. Now, it’s official! Hooray for German people. Over a year, Porsche’s debt grew to 51% stake in VW, short of the required 75%. A while back, Porsche tried to buy VW, only to EPICLY FAIL. That failure caused the chief executive of Porsche to resign over the summer.
Stalin’s Grandson Sues Russian Liberal Media!
In WWII, Joseph Stalin was a cruel, powerful warlord who led the Red Army in the war. Well, that was then. Now, he is just an icon for the Russians. But his family is still alive, and apparently, the Russian Liberal Media hates them. According to Stalin’s grandson (Yevgeny Dzhugashvili), the Liberal media says that Yevgeny’s Grandfather (Joseph Stalin) took innocent Soviet lives during his power. Well, Yevgeny did the little he could do: SUE. The Moscow court has agreed to take the case. Stalin supporters waited outside, while Yevgeny said
Уважали При Сталине нашу страну ", Said one elderly supporter. сторонник.
"Сейчас мы нищие. В те дни мы были уважал и боялся, другие.”
Or in English:
Under Stalin our country was respected," said one elderly supporter.
"Now we are beggars. In those days we were respected and feared by others.”
The defense says
"If the court finds for plaintiff, it will be a massive bomb. We should put an end to these discussions about the murderous dictator - he should be condemned.”
The case is still continuing
COMPUTER PHONES!!
Ever said, “I wonder if my phone could be a computer.” Well now it can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Microsoft has announced the “Windows Phone”. It’s just like a computer, except, IT’S A PHONE! Watch stuff, play stuff, download stuff. They even have an “App store,” similar to the iPhone. Though the Microsoft app store currently has 60 pre-installed apps, but Microsoft says that that number will rise sharply.
The Microsoft phone apparently does not worry Apple, they say the iPhone is much better and reliable. So now Apple and Microsoft once again will be at each others throats.

SPACE TRIP
Huge companies are now
trying to get onto the moon. Not
to build some giant headquarters
or something on the moon, but
for prize money.
The prize is apparently
thirty million dollars,
supplied by Google. These
companies don’t need NASA,
they hired there own
million-dollar-demanding
geniuses. The reward money
is given out in sections,
so it’s like: one million
dollars if you launch some
type of flying object. The
companies don’t really care
about the money, the calculations
and requirements to make the
flying object would cost the
amount of money awarded, if not
more. So why the giant corporations
want this would only be one thing:
publicity.
Monkeys Like Silence…….and Metallica
Usually, animals hate music.
Monkeys DESPISE human music. Like
REALLY HATE IT. For proof, the
national symphony orchestra played
for the monkeys and the monkeys went
CRAZY. Some music even makes monkeys
scared. When monkeys hear human music,
they get all jittery and freak out,
but that has changed. A group of monkeys
in Wisconsin were tested to music by a
band called “Metallica”, and were calmed
and tranquil. Surprised, the scientists
studied human music. The outcome they came
with was against their surprising find.
Human instruments to animals and other
creatures are like listening to nails on
a chalkboard. The Wisconsin scientists
found that if they could get the right
music, or compose a perfect monkey song,
they could influence the monkeys, and
maybe even train them. Also, the
reaction was similar to babies in long
1 note tones. So if you hate Metallica,
don’t scream that you hate it around any monkeys.
OLDEST ANCESTOR OF HUMANS FOUND
Recently, some non-special
group of scientists found an ordinary
fossil. Nothing big. But as the fossil
was studied more and more, it turned
out to look like a chimp. Still,
nothing big. But then it started to
look like a human, so the Californian
scientists really started to get confused.
The fossil actually turned out to be a
pre-evolved human. A REALLY PRE-EVOLVED
HUMAN. A 4.4 million pre-evolved human.
Really old. The creature, called ‘ardi’,
could have been the last related humanoid
to the chimpanzee. Of course, the
scientists, having no cheery or creative
side, call the fossil a normal human and
move on.
